BIPP Photographer of the Year 2018!

I was awarded Gold in the Portrait category and the overall title ‘Photographer of the Year‘ at the BIPP National Awards 2018 in March, for this panel shot for ETT‘s production of Conor McPherson’s ‘The Weir‘, a ghost-telling story set in an Irish pub, where the characters are haunted by their pasts as much as spectres.

The brief was to take pictures in the style of Caravaggio or one of the Dutch Masters, and with some careful lighting, some spot-on casting and letting the Guinness settle in rings in the glasses, I thought we hit the nail on the ghostly head!
